One of the most popular memes among animal lovers online is of a dad who doesn’t want a pet, then promptly becomes the pet’s favorite family member. This is what happened when Jennifer floated the idea of adopting a cockatoo to her husband, Ken.

Jennifer adopted Buster, a white cockatoo who had become a part of their family. He soon became a close friend of Ken’s and would wait for his dad when he went to work. Then, around 4 pm, he would walk to the door and wait for Ken.

He did not interact with Jennifer that much. Thus, she had to find ways to keep him busy. Buster liked to go around the house singing and dancing to music and playing with his toys. He even helped Jennifer with crossword puzzles.

Buster loved to dance to his favorite music and loved rocking his head to the beats. But, unfortunately, the couple’s pet dog had become used to the crazy acts of the cockatoo and preferred to ignore them.

When Ken returned home, Buster would remind him that he’s been a good boy. He loved to dance to the songs played by Ken and could dance to any genre of music being played by him.

Buster also loved to be with the other pet dogs and couldn’t stop himself from enjoying dog treats. At night, he would climb up to Ken’s recliner and be in his happy place with his dad.

Ken believed that Buster had changed him completely. Ken was not a person to express his love with words. But Buster helped him change his nature. Finding the loving nature of Ken was really intriguing to Jennifer and their kids. Nonetheless, they were happy for what a bird could bring out.
