A Sussex insider has reportedly leaked the next stop for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s unofficial ‘royal tour’ as the Sussexes attempt to rival King Charles in the Commonwealth.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be set to return to Africa for another unofficial royal tour following the Sussexes’ controversial visit to Nigeria earlier this month.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex set off on a whirlwind 72-hour tour of Nigeria during which the couple promoted the Invictus Games and met with top leaders in the West African nation.
The mock royal tour appeared to go off without a hitch, but the King was reportedly furious about the visit and is worried the Sussexes are attempting to destablise the Commonwealth and set up a rival royal court.
According to a Sussex insider, Harry and Meghan are currently being wooed by top officials to travel to Accra, the capital of Ghana for a similar unofficial visit.

The port city on the gulf of Guinea was a favourite destination of Harry’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and Ghanian leaders are reportedly going to “pull out all the stops” to convince the Sussexes to make the trip.
“There is already a lot of talk and excitement in Ghana, everyone is so keen for Harry and Meghan to come and experience the great culture and warmth,” an insider told The Mirror newspaper.
“Several top names have already visited Ghana in recent years from Ed Sheeran, Naomi Campbell and One Direction’s Liam Payne.
“Idris Elba, who DJ’d at Harry and Meghan’s wedding is a regular too, he is part-Ghanaian and loves spending time ‘back home.'”

Ghana is the second most populous country in West Africa after Nigeria and is a member of the Commonwealth but is also republic with its own president and no monarch as head of state.
If the non-working royals do accept the invitation to Ghana it will be without the permission or guidance of the British Home Office.
Harry and Meghan no longer represent the monarchy abroad and it is understood they accepted the Nigeria trip after meeting Nigerian officials in Germany last year.
The couple also visited Jamaica – which does still count King Charles as head of state – earlier this year amid growing speculation the Caribbean nation will soon become a republic.
An insider told the Mirror newspaper last week that Charles’s “ultimate” fear is the Sussexes will be seen by some in the Commonwealth as “more appealing” than actual working royals like Princess Anne and the Duchess of Edinburgh.
“The ultimate fear for King Charles and William is that Meghan’s rebelliousness actually ends up making her more appealing than the understated members of official team royal,” the source said.
